Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique.Antibody specific for AQP-1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standardsand samples are pipetted into the wells and any AQP-1 present is bound by theimmobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, abiotin-conjugated antibody specific for AQP-1 is added to the wells. Afterwashing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to thewells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, asubstrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to theamount of AQP-1 bound in the initial step.
